Okay, so we all know I don't do change well. But this type of change I can do; the type that demonstrates that progress has been made and life truly has improved.
I'm talking about my little (month) holiday, totally alone (for most of it) and with endless culture and history at my disposal.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, tomorrow I depart for the Eternal City. And I am excited.
As per always, however, there are some mixed feelings and apprehensions simmering on the back burner. They are as follows:
1. My friend's inevitably scornful reaction to my eating habits
2. The misplacement of my Italian phrasebook
3. The fact that I just ate 2 cereal bars, and on Monday I have to be in a bikini.
Only 3...now that, folks, is PROGRESS.
Of course I shall touch base regularly during the course of my little adventure, and just so you're not disappointed that my neurosis (neuroses plural?) has finally left through the open window with the light summer breeze, here's my food list for today (and yes, you could call it a mini-binge):
1. carb free omlette and ham
2. low fat cheese
3. tuna and lettuce
4. MEAL OUT: green beans, lettuce, salmon and cheese
5. 2 cereal bars
6. a low carb bar
Oh well :)
