Skinny Jeans

Skinny jeans are, undoubtedly, the K2 of all clothing. The principle is great; figure hugging, leg lengthening, show-off-ing essentials. But to actually pull them off, is quite another issue. My legs are probably of average length and not particularly hideous. In normal jeans. Why is it, then, that in skinny jeans I feel like I am getting a glimpse of my legs in almost obscene and unecessary detail? I don't need to see every muscle move when I walk, nor does anyone else for that matter.

Kirsten Dunst looks good in skinny jeans. Nicole Richie likewise. Me? Not so much. I feel exposed, I feel quite child like (bizarrely) and I feel so completely over-emotised. So why did I accept the challenge? I've avoided skinny jeans since their first sniff of popularity, but my avoidance tactics have run dry and now I must adhere.

Wish me luck.
